“Positive energy family”
An european energy challenge launched between territories and their inhabitants; and made possible thanks to internet tools for monitoring energy savings
The original idea of this project stems from a desire to propagate sobriety practices to limit the ecological footprint linked to tourist activities, by allowing the spin-off in 4 countries, of an adaptable and reproducible model of training that can be easily disseminated and multiplied.
This model itself has been inspired by two concepts :
Combining these two concepts was the essential step in the making of ECHO-Tourism methodology.
By raising awareness on behaviour change and by involving multiple territories across Europe, ECHO-Tourism will sparkle the initiation of a new way of enjoying the treasures that our planet can offer, and will ,more importantly, bring it to the next level and spread it across many territories through a comprehensive and playful training program.
Completing this program will bring new skills to tourism professionals as well as shaping a new dynamic, bringing the opportunity to start new activities, and enhancing their attractivity to the public. This objective is reinforced by the fact that eco-friendly behaviour decreases the energetic bills which allow more funds to be invested in new developments.
Overall, the ECHO-Tourism project aims to ensure that more and more tourism stakeholders are able to appropriate this training offer and the related awareness-raising mechanism, by the production of several deliverables (a methodology report, a MOOC, a guide), the organisation of training sessions and multiplier events. Concretely, the results and impacts sought are concurrently:
